The council obtains
grants from federal and state agencies (1) to create Community
Wildfire Protection Plans -- otherwise known as Fire-Safe Plans -- and
(2) to protect neighborhoods and communities by supporting the
creation of shaded fuel breaks and roadside brush clearing. Current
