Sharon Rooney advised all fire insurance policy holders to check with their private insurance company regarding requirements for defensible space. It was suggested that once this issue has a singular answer, the information should be posted on the KRVFSC website.

It was also suggested that our website be posted in the local Libraries.

Tim Walsh of Hangfire Environmental presented the Alta Sierra Community Fire Safe Plan. His expertise in wildfire behavior and specific prevention recommendations has provided a superb document from which the Alta Sierra Community can begin to implement suggested wildfire safety practices.
